We had no complaints, just inquiries were registered - Radiy Khabirov commented on voting in Bashkiria

The Head of Bashkiria on the air of the "Russia 24" TV channel shared with the preliminary results of the voting on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation. Radiy Khabirov noted that the turnout in the republic was 90%.
"Our republic has always been demonstrated a high political election culture and the active consciousness of our inhabitants. It happened this time as well," said the head of the region. "Besides, we undertook several actions that, even in conditions of the coronavirus infection, additionally motivated people to vote. Thus, our farmers arrived in the cities, held big fairs. All of this taken together led to the fact that 90 percent of our residents voted."
Radiy Khabirov noted that he specifically asked the CEC about the complaints made. However, there were none of them.
"There were eight inquires, not even complaints. Some people were interested in the particulars of voting; some people got advice. That is, we record a minimal number of appeals," the head of Bashkiria commented on. "It is essential that the vote was extended for seven days. This helped us significantly in the context of compliance with all sanitary and epidemiological rules since we understand that we still live in difficult conditions."
According to the head of the republic, several thousand observers were present at polling stations in Bashkiria.
"Almost all members of the Human Rights Council under the Head of the Republic worked in all municipalities," said Radiy Khabirov.
Earlier, the Bashinform News Agency reported that according to the latest data from the CEC of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the turnout in the region was 89.78%.
