88.68% of Bashkiria residents voted for amendments to Constitution of Russian Federation - CEC

The Central Election Commission of Bashkortostan announced new data on the voting results on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation. According to the CEC chairman RB, Ilona Makarenko, as of 9 a.m. on July 2, 2 million 763 residents of the region took part in the vote, which is 90.83%. Voter turnout in cities averaged 88.28%, in districts - 93.73%. The activity was 86.85% in the capital of the republic.
It also became known how the votes were distributed throughout the republic on amendments to the Constitution. According to Ilona Makarenko, the number of votes cast on the “yes” position amounted to 2 million 448 thousand people, that is, 88.68%. In Ufa, 83% of those who voted in favor of the amendments to the basic law of the country, 86.73% in the cities, and 91.95% in the regions.
The number of votes cast for the “no” position amounted to almost 293 thousand people or 10.6%. In Ufa, almost 16% of voters voted against amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation.
More than 30 thousand participants voted according to their statements at the place of location, or 78.8% of the total number who used the Mobile Voter mechanism. The number of voters who voted outside polling stations or at home was more than 15%. 84.77% of citizens with disabilities included in the voting list also voted.
On July 1 ended the main and last day of the all-Russian vote on amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation. Due to the epidemiological situation, it was decided that the Russians would be able to vote the whole week - from June 25 to July 1.
