Ereğli Vilayet Konya in Turkey and Belebeyevsky district of Bashkiria became twin regions

Last year, a delegation of the CONCIAD Association visited Bashkortostan, which consists of about 1,200 manufacturers, commercial organizations of Istanbul - natives of the Turkish province of Konya. During a meeting with the Head of the Republic, Radiy Khabirov, a request was sent to one of the regions of this province - Ereğli, to establish twin-district relations with one of the districts of Bashkortostan. Belebeyevsky district RB was chosen, and the parties worked out the text of the agreement. Then the coronavirus pandemic prevented its signing, and the parties decided to do it online. Yesterday, a solemn signing took place in the city of Ereğli, the province of Konya, with a small number of participants due to continuing pandemic restrictions.

“Our district Majlis decided to sign this agreement with the aim of developing bilateral twinning relations with the Belebeyevsky district of Bashkortostan. After weakening the pandemic, we intend to develop our cultural and social relations jointly. However, at the same time, we must reinforce all this by establishing strong economic ties. I am sure we have something to offer each other. I wish that the development of these relations was for the benefit of both us and the Bashkirs, Russians, Tatars, Chuvashs and representatives of other peoples living in the Belebeyevsky district, ”said the mayor of the Ereğli region, Huseyin Oprukçu, before signing the agreement.

The Chairman of the CONCIAD Association Kemal Celik, the ex-representative of the Republic of Bashkortostan in Turkey (2004-2012), the vice-president of the Turkish Neslishah joint-stock company Kanshaubiy Miziev, attended the signing ceremony.
