More than 30 million Russians took part in voting on constitutional amendments for three days

In Russia, for three days, 30 million 917 thousand 512 people took part in voting on constitutional amendments, including remote voting, - turnout was 28.46 percent. It was reported by RIA Novosti, referring to the CEC chairman Ella Pamfilova.
According to her, more than half of the voters - 58% - “exercised their right at polling stations”, 39% cast their vote outside polling stations - at home or in the adjoining territories. About 3% used the opportunity of remote electronic voting.
A nationwide vote on constitutional amendments was originally scheduled for April 22 but was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. As the pandemic stabilizes, Russian President Vladimir Putin set a new date for July 1. Given the requirements for public safety, voting will last the whole week - from June 25 to July 1.
As the Bashinform News Agency reported, 3431 polling stations are organized for voting in the republic. The planned number of voters is more than 3 million people.
In order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus and to avoid large crowds, polling stations across the country will be open from June 25 till July 1, from 8 am to 8 pm.
On June 30, the polling station commissions will work from 8 am to 2 pm.
For the safety of voters, thorough regular cleaning and disinfection of premises are carried out at each polling station, including the disinfection of door handles.
Safe distances are provided to minimize contacts between people. In addition to the usual marking on the floor, the furniture is arranged in such a way as to maintain the recommended distance of 1.5 - 2 meters.
Visitors will have their temperature checked with no-contact thermometers. Citizens whose temperature is high will also be allowed to vote - but in separate rooms.
All polling stations are fully equipped with all personal protective equipment: masks and gloves at the polling stations are mandatory for everyone. Each voter is given disposable pens.
