Head of Bashkiria: “Bashkiria is third in country in terms of voted number”

Voting for amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation continues in Bashkiria. The Head of the Republic, Radiy Khabirov, talked about the voting process in the region at a briefing session in the Government RB on June 29.

“Our residents show a very high electoral culture. A fairly large number of residents have already voted. We are the third or fourth in Russia in terms of already voted people”, said Radiy Khabirov.

The Head of the Republic also appealed to the heads of municipalities with a request to tighten control over compliance with sanitary and epidemiological rules on July 1.

“Certainly, the main voting day is July 1. Please pay attention to compliance with the sanitary and epidemiological rules, as on July 1, the main flow of people can come. According to several heads of municipalities, by the end of the first day of voting, on June 25, some villages and towns had already voted 100%, ”said the Head of Bashkiria.

As previously reported, in three days, 30 million 917 thousand 512 people took part in voting on amendments to the Constitution, including remotely - the turnout was 28.46 percent.

3 431 polling stations were organized for voting in Bashkiria. The planned number of voters is more than 3 million people.

In order to prevent the coronavirus spread and to avoid large crowds, polling stations across the country will operate from June 25 to July 1 from 8 am to 8 pm. On June 30, the polling stations will be open from 8 am to 2 pm.
