Personal protective equipment began to be delivered to polling stations in Bashkiria

On July 1, Russia will conduct a nationwide vote on amendments to the country's Constitution. Now, personal protective equipment is being received in all polling stations of the republic so that voting is as safe as possible due to the threat of the coronavirus spread.
"Already now, you can apply to a certain polling station, which will be convenient for you to vote. The procedure also provides for voting at home. Polling site commission members will not enter apartments. Voters will be given an application form, gloves, a pen, an antiseptic cloth in a package. The commission members will also be protected - we have purchased masks, gloves, antiseptics, screens," said Ilona Makarenko, chairman of the Central Election Commission, at the next online lecture of the United Russia party on organizing voting on constitutional amendments.
According to her, a ballot will contain only one question about whether you approve changes to the Constitution. Therefore, the CEC expects to process the entire volume of ballots for a night and to receive the voting results by July 2.
The polling stations will operate from June 25 to July 1, inclusive. Each person will also receive a mask, gloves, pen, antiseptic. There will be antiseptic mats for shoes at the entrance; the rooms will be ventilated and sanitized every 2 hours.
Rimma Utyasheva, a deputy of the State Assembly RB, recommended older people not to violate the self-isolation regime and vote at home.
