National tourism project to appear in Russia

In Russia, a new project is being developed - the 14th national project aimed at supporting domestic and inbound tourism. This is reported by «Izvestia» with reference to the president of "OPORA Russia" Alexander Kalinin.
The main task of the new national project is to increase the tourist flow and revenue growth in the industry. To this end, the Russian government intends to start co-financing the costs of tour operators, as well as reduce the cost of transportation, introduce electronic visas for foreigners.
It is expected that the implementation of the 14th project will begin next year and will require at least 80 billion rubles annually.
National projects are the priority areas of the country's development until 2024, as defined in the May decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
At the moment, there are 13 national projects. They include - “Demography”, “Culture”, “Healthcare”, “Education”, “Housing and Urban Environment”, “Ecology”, “Safe and High-Quality Roads”, “Labor Productivity”, “Science”, “Digital Economy ”,“ SMEs and Support Of Entrepreneurial Initiative”, “International Cooperation and Export”, as well as a comprehensive plan for modernization and expansion of the main infrastructure.
The total budget of national projects until the end of 2024 is 25.7 trillion rubles.
For example, in Bashkortostan alone, the total budget allocated for the implementation of national projects exceeds 31 billion rubles in 2020. Of these, 20 billion rubles are federal funds.
In terms of federal funding, the republic now ranks second in the Volga Federal District after the Samara Region.
