More than 1,690 deputies to be elected in Bashkiria

On September 13, 2020, in Bashkortostan, 112 major election campaigns will be held for deputies of representative bodies in 7 urban districts, 54 municipal districts, 10 urban settlements, and 41 rural settlements. In total, more than 1690 deputies will be elected. From May 25 to May 31, the United Russia party holds a preliminary vote to nominate its candidates. A total of 4799 candidates were registered to participate in the procedure.

Among them, the greatest number is in the regions - 2730 candidates, 975 - in rural settlements, and approximately the same in urban districts and urban settlements (535 and 559, respectively). Among the candidates, 20.2% are young people under the age of 35.

Preliminary voting at the municipal level is held according to the fourth model. It means that only party members approved by the organizing committee act as electors. Voting is organized in the local offices of "United Russia" districts and cities. Electors approach the place in an organized manner, without overcrowding. It is also possible to vote remotely. Reception of documents from those wishing to take part in the preliminary voting was carried out from March 1 to May 15. Voting takes place until May 31, inclusive, and the results will be announced no later than June 2.
