Vladimir Putin will once again address nation in connection with coronavirus

Russian President Vladimir Putin will address the nation for the third time about the situation with the new coronavirus spread in the country. According to the press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov, a new statement is expected this week.

Peskov also noted that the Kremlin had not yet decided when the self-isolation restrictions would be lifted, but it will occur in phases, RIA Novosti reported.

Earlier, Vladimir Putin twice - March 25 and April 2 - addressed the nation regarding the coronavirus situation. The Russian president then decided on a non-working April with the preservation of wages and announced measures to support the population.

The Head of Rospotrebnadzor Anna Popova believes that it is too early to stop the regime of self-isolation in the country. And the chief external expert on infectious diseases in children of the Ministry of Health, academician of the RAS Yuri Lobzin says that restrictions on movement should be extended until May 12.
