Bashkiria State Assembly is preparing to adopt laws to combat coronavirus

Legislative decisions in connection with the spread of coronavirus will be made not only at the federal but also at the regional level. It was stated by the Chairman of the State Assembly of Bashkortostan Konstantin Tolkachev. According to him, the situation requires operational decisions, as in wartime conditions.

“The Parliament of Bashkortostan is preparing to make independent decisions aimed at preventing and combatting the coronavirus spread. We conduct consultations with executive authorities, jointly prepare solutions. Obviously, one of the first among them will be the introduction of changes to the budget of the republic in connection with the coronavirus pandemic. The Head of Bashkortostan indicated its necessity. After the relevant department prepares the documents, the parliament will quickly consider the bill, ”the Chairman of the State Assembly explained.

Recall that next week, the State Duma plans to consider amendments to the Criminal Code to tighten liability for violation of sanitary-epidemiological rules, and the maximum penalty is provided for up to seven years in prison. A bill is being considered on the possibility of receiving patients online. The law on freezing drug prices in epidemics has already been promptly adopted and supported by the Federation Council.
