The meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with leaders of factions in the lower house of parliament is not related to the discussion of the issue of early elections to the State Duma.

“There is no such question on the agenda, the topic has never been sounded and has not been raised by anyone,” TASS cites the presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

Peskov added that a meeting with the leaders of the factions was planned for late evening. Among its participants, the Kremlin representative listed the Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov, LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky, head of the Just Russia faction Sergei Mironov and State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin.
