58 delegations from 50 countries visited Bashkiria in year - representative of Russian Foreign Ministry in Ufa

Bashkortostan, as one of the most active participants in foreign economic relations, makes a worthy contribution to establishing confidence in relations between Russia and foreign countries, and its integration into the world economy on acceptable terms. This was stated by the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in the city of Ufa, Vener Galiakbarov, on the eve of the Day of the Diplomatic Worker celebrated today.

In 2019 alone, 47 visits of republic’s delegations to Austria, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Denmark, Iran, Kazakhstan, Canada, Kyrgyzstan, China, Latvia, Moldova, the United Arab Emirates, Slovakia, Uzbekistan, Turkey, France, the Czech Republic, and Estonia were organized, including three visits led by the Head of the republic Radiy Khabirov. In turn, the republic welcomed 58 delegations from 50 countries. In particular, President of the Republic of Moldova Igor Dodon visited Bashkortostan, as well as 25 diplomatic delegations, including the ambassadors of Belarus, Moldova, Vietnam, Israel, Italy, Kyrgyzstan, the United Arab Emirates, Romania, Tajikistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Finland, France, the Czech Republic, South Africa.

“Despite the ongoing sanction pressure on the country, our republic is fully ready to use its economic and intellectual potential, available resources to become more actively involved on a long-term basis in the implementation of large-scale multilateral projects for the development of international cooperation,” the head of the Ufa representative office of the Russian Foreign Ministry noted.
