Maternity capital will be paid already for first-borns January 1, 2020

From January 1, 2020, families will receive maternity capital already at the birth of their first child, and its amount will increase by another 150 thousand rubles at the birth of a second child. Now, after indexing, the amount of maternity capital is 466 thousand 617 rubles. The total amount at the birth of the second child will be more than 616 thousand rubles and will be indexed every year.

“Now, this program is designed for the period until December 31, 2021. I know that many people are wondering: what does the state intend to do after December 31, 2021? We will extend this program. And at least until December 31, 2026. At the same time, I believe that if a family now has a child, then after the second birth, maternity capital should be provided to it already in a new, increased amount. And this, as I have already said, is 616 617 rubles”, Vladimir Putin stated, announcing his Address to the Federal Assembly.

Recall that at the birth of a third child, the state pays a 450 thousand rubles of mortgage loan for a family.

“That is, in general, a family with three children will be able to invest over one million rubles in the solution of their housing problem with the help of the state. For several regions, cities, even regional centers, this is almost half the cost of an apartment or house. I also remind you that we have extended the preferential mortgage rate - six percent per annum - for families with two or more children for the entire loan term. As a result, the number of those who took advantage of such a support measure has increased almost ten times at once”, Vladimir Putin said.
