Radiy Khabirov: We have common historical roots with Kyrgyzstan

The Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov during a working meeting with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Russia Alikbek Dzhekshenkulov thanked the representatives of the Kyrgyz Republic for participating in the celebrations dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Mustafa Safich Karimov.

“Mustai Karim and the Kyrgyz writer Chingiz Aitmatov were close people, comrades-in-arms, and we are very pleased that friends from Kyrgyzstan celebrate the poet’s anniversary with us”, said Radiy Khabirov. “Kyrgyzstan is one of the essential partners of our republic. We have common historical roots. This spring, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Government of Bashkortostan and the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic”.

The meeting discussed prospects for the development of relations in various areas of the economy and social sphere. The head of Bashkortostan noted the high potential of trade turnover growth, mutual interests in agriculture, petrochemicals. Radiy Khabirov also invited the delegation of Kyrgyzstan to visit Bashkortostan during the 2020 World Folkloriad.
