Radiy Khabirov congratulated Bashkiria road workers on their professional holiday

“Roads are of great importance for Bashkortostan. The republic is located in the center of a huge nation, located at the intersection of major highways and connecting Europe and Asia. Bashkortostan is one of the few regions with the most extended road network in the country. 47.5 thousand kilometers, like blood vessels, give the republic life, strength, growth, confidence in the future,” said the Head of the republic Radiy Khabirov, speaking at a ceremony dedicated to the Day of Road Workers.

According to the head of the region, the road industry has many tasks ahead.

“We are going to start new projects in Ufa - designing a bridge in the alignment of Internatsionalnaya Street, building interchanges at the southern entrance to the city, Zininsky overpass, widening of Pugachev Street and many others. We must pave all the central streets of our villages and towns. We should continue the large-scale modernization of the important Ufa-Orenburg highway, the M5 and M7 federal highways, the construction of road junctions, access roads to settlements with all the necessary infrastructure, ”said the head of Bashkortostan.

Radiy Khabirov also spoke about the achievements of the industry. This year it was managed to connect the regional centers with Ufa with regular bus services. The routes demanded by people are opened and renewed. Hundreds of new “Bashavtotrans” buses operate on the main directions. The next task is to provide transport links between regional centers and all settlements with a population of more than 100 people. According to Khabirov, the river transport system will be surely restored.
