Head of Bashkiria instructed to stop event tourism of public servants

The Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov instructed to put an end to the event tourism of public servants. He stated this today at a meeting of the Investment Council in the republican government during the discussion of the issue regarding the participation of the region in various business events in Russia and abroad.

“300 events a year for the republic is good, let's do it. We have agreed that for the first few years we will quite intensively promote our Bashkortostan both at domestic events, at home, and abroad, ”he said. “However, we should not turn the trips of our leaders into event tourism”.

Regulations are being introduced now regarding any trip of officials providing for a personal report on the results of the trip. It will be included in a special program so that it can be addressed at any time.

As a positive example, Radiy Khabirov mentioned a business trip to Ankara of the Interim Deputy Prime Minister of the Republican Government, Ilshat Tazhitdinov, which resulted in agreements reached with five Turkish investors on the development of the north-east of Bashkortostan.
