Radiy Khabirov proposed Russian government to expand preferential leasing program for agricultural sector

UFA, 2 October 2019. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/.
The head of Bashkiria Radiy Khabirov proposed to the Russian government to expand the scope of the program “Equipment Fleet Updating 2.0”. Speaking today, on October 2, at a Cabinet meeting chaired by Dmitry Medvedev, he noted the effectiveness of the Rosagroleasing project, which had been launched this year. Due to this form of support, Bashkir agrarians acquired equipment worth 500 million rubles.
Since the beginning of the year, agricultural enterprises of Bashkiria have acquired agricultural machinery worth 4.5 billion rubles.
“However, this is not enough. At the moment, we are short of 1,200 combine harvesters, 3,000 high-performance tractors with sowing complexes,” said the head of Bashkiria.
Radiy Khabirov also spoke about the difficulties in the work of farmers. This spring, 170 thousand hectares of crops died, 585 enterprises lost more than 865 million rubles. In general, the sown area in 2019 amounted to 3 million hectares (at the level of 2018), spring sowing was performed on 2.12 million hectares.
The harvesting period also takes place in difficult weather conditions. In September, the equivalent of more than two months’ rainfall fell.
“94% of the area of grain and legumes was harvested, the threshing yield made up more than 3 million tons with an average yield of almost 20 centners per hectare. Now we are harvesting industrial crops and oilseeds, expect a good harvest of sugar beets. This year, according to forecasts, we can count on a harvest higher than last year, ”said the head of the republic.
Radiy Khabirov thanked the federal center for the financial support of the agro-industrial complex: state assistance to agriculture in Bashkiria amounted to 4.4 billion rubles in 2019, of which 2.2 billion came from the federal budget.
“Now the agricultural sector of the republic will develop in two main areas - technical modernization of the industry and increasing export activity,” the head of the region informed.
