Bashkiria may become a site for the First Eurasian Games

The Head of Bashkortostan Radi Khabirov has met with delegation of International non-governmental organizations Union “The Assembly of Eurasia Nations”, headed by its general secretary Andre Belyaninov, in Ufa. The parties were discussing the prospects on holding the First Eurasian Games in Ufa, news-service of the Head RB reported. “Earlier during our meeting in Moscow we’ve agreed concerning organization of interaction and holding the First Eurasian Games in Ufa may become one of our joint projects” – Radi Khabirov stated – “We intend to hold various international forums in Bashkortostan. Thus, world bee-keeping congress “Apimondia” and world wrestling championship will take place here in 2021 and world volley-ball championship – in 2022. If we come to a joint decision, we may hold the First Eurasian Games in Bashkortostan, in the heart of Eurasia, and the national staff of our Republic emphasizes our Eurasian character”. As the Head RB stated, Eurasian Games for Bashkortostan is the claim to be an ethnic-cultural sports center of Eurasian cooperation. Andre Belyaninov mentioned that the delegation, headed by him, paid visits to several sports objects. “We admire your capabilities to hold high-level sports actions” – Andre Belyaninov said – “and since I am the head of Eurasian Development Bank, I suggest that the issues of financing sports and infrastructural objects RB should be discussed too”. News Agency Bashinform has already reported that in May 2019 the Head RB Radi Khabirov and general secretary of the Assembly Andre Belyaninov signed a cooperation agreement concerning widening of international and business cooperation in sphere of tourism, culture, education, sport, youth activity as well as in trade-production sphere – import, finances, investments and innovations.
