Human Rights Board monitoring group, headed by Fedotov, started working in Bashkiria

A regional monitoring group under the Russian President’s Board on public society development and human rights started working today, September 8th, in the Election Day, in the Public Chamber of Republic of Bashkortostan. During the whole day the working group’s members will check the polling stations, located on the territory of Ufa, searching for any violations of suffrage. The staff of the working group consists of the chairman of the Russian President’s Board on public society development and human rights Michael Fedotov, the ombudsman in Republic of Bashkortostan Rim Kaumov, Chairman of the Public Chamber RB Olga Panchikhina, deputy Chairman of the Public Chamber RB Oleg Galin, a representative of all-Russian public organization “Association of Russian Lawyers” Veronica Adrienko, a representative of public movement “Russia Choice” Zarina Gazizova, a representative of the movement “Fair Elections Body” Alexei Startsev, the head of the Movement on suffrage protection “The Vote” Rinat Fakiev and a representative of Bashkortostan’s Mass-Media Union Marsel Salimov. No suffrage violations were found out yet. Public observers from political parties are also working from early morning, Bashkir Public Chamber news service reports.
