Council for Human Rights and Development of Civil Society Institutions is established in Bashkiria

A Council for Human Rights and Development of Civil Society Institutions under the head of the republic is established in Bashkortostan. Radiy Khabirov signed the corresponding decree. The new advisory body will assist in ensuring the protection of human and civil rights and freedoms, supporting the development of civil society institutions in the region.

The tasks of the Council, in particular, include monitoring the current situation, verifying the facts of violation of the law, infringing the rights of citizens, participating in the development and publication of methodological and reference-analytical materials, as well as developing mechanisms of public control and promoting legal education of the population.

Meetings of the Council will be held at least once every six months.
