Plenipotentiary Envoy of Russian President: Bashkiria is ready to hold transparent elections

Igor Komarov, the Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of Russia to the Volga Federal District, who arrived in Ufa, said that Bashkiria was ready to hold open and transparent elections.

“Less than a week is left till the Single Voting Day. The election of the highest official of the republic is ahead. Besides, more than eight thousand deputies of local councils will be elected in rural areas. The election campaign in the region paid much attention. All necessary measures have been taken by the authorities, law enforcement agencies, the central election commission of the region to ensure security and the rule of law in the elections, to ensure their transparency and legitimacy. Therefore, we are waiting for a Single Voting Day”, Igor Komarov stated at a briefing.
