Israeli Medicine Days will be held in Bashkiria

This year the Israeli Medicine Days will be held in Bashkortostan. This, in particular, was discussed at the meeting held today in the House of the Republic by the Acting Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov with the Head Doctor of the Medical Center Horev (Haifa, Israel), the head of the Doctors Without Borders project in Israel Roman Barak. The prospects for cooperation and introducing advanced medical technologies in regional health institutions were discussed, the press service of the head of the region reports.

“We pay serious attention to the development of medicine as part of our work, as part of the national projects of our President, ” said Radiy Khabirov. “Certainly, it would be to the benefit of the Bashkortostan healthcare to share experience, get the newest techniques characteristic of Israeli medicine. I believe that your visit can be a starting point to start cooperation in this field between Israel and Bashkortostan”.

Dr. Roman Barak noted that for many years he had been leading the Doctors Without Borders project in Israel. In particular, Israeli specialists were allowed to work with victims of the Fukushima nuclear power plant accident in Japan, provide assistance to the wounded as a result of the hostilities in Syria.

The Horev Medical Center also implements the Horev Without Borders program, which already covers more than 80 countries of the world. It provides for the holding of clinical and academic days of Israeli medicine with the participation of leading specialists of the center. They conduct not only examinations of hundreds of patients at consultative outpatient visits and rounds in hospitals, but also conferences, lecture meetings, master classes. After that, the center invites local doctors to Israel for internships and advanced training for one to six months, and also, based on a medical panel decision, offers free examination and treatment at the expense of the Israeli side to children and older people who have hope for a full recovery.

“One of our big plans is to hold the Israeli Medicine Days in Bashkortostan in the coming months,” said Dr. Roman Barak. “It will, definitely, open incredible perspectives for our interaction”.
