Days of Bashkortostan Republic were held in Austria

Days of the Republic of Bashkortostan in the Republic of Austria took place in Vienna. The Acting Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov headed the official delegation.

According to the press service of the Head of the region, the business program of the visit included working meetings with representatives of government and business in Austria, a presentation of the investment potential of the region, and the exchange of experience in creating a comfortable urban environment. In particular, Radiy Khabirov, together with his Austrian colleagues, visited the central station of Vienna, where he has familiarized with the infrastructure projects for the development of railway and station areas.

An ethnic courtyard was organized in the Museum Quarter of the Austrian capital, representing the life, culture, and cuisine of the Bashkir people. The Sabantuy holiday took place here, which ended with an ethnic-show and a concert of masters of the art of Bashkortostan. The F. Gaskarov State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble RB, the National Orchestra of Folk Instruments RB, the Argymak and Karavan groups, the People’s Artist of Bashkortostan Aidar Galimov and other performers took part in it.

Radiy Khabirov, the head of the republic, began his welcoming speech to the guests of Sabantuy in German.

“We are delighted to be here with you today. We brought a piece of our vast multinational country to Vienna. Bashkortostan is a republic with a long history. In our region Muslims and Orthodox Christians living in peace and harmony for many years. More than 100 nationalities live in peace and harmony. Bashkortostan is one of the core regions of the Russian Federation with a developed economy.

Therefore, today we came here to tell you about us and invite everyone to our beautiful Bashkir region. Have a good time!”, said the head of the republic.
