Parnas party will support Zulfiya Gaysina at elections of Head of Bashkiria

The regional branch of the “Parnas” party in Bashkortostan intends to support Zulfiya Gaysina in the elections of the Head of the Republic, nominated as a candidate from “Yabloko” party. The head of the republican branch of the party Rafik Dusaliyev told this the Bashinform News Agency.

Thus, Gaysina can become a consolidated candidate of the democratic forces of the Republic of Bashkortostan in the elections of the head of the republic. However, Parnas representatives are not sure that the candidate will be registered.

“I think that Gaysina will not manage to go through a municipal filter, however, we, to the best of our ability, will help her in passing the first stage of registration as a candidate. Similarly, we will discuss this issue directly at a meeting of the party and with colleagues from Yabloko, ”said Dusaliyev.

According to the results of the elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation in 2016, the Parnas party won 0.73% of the vote, not having overcome the 5% barrier. In Bashkortostan, the regional office of Parnas is known that in 2013 it put forward a list of candidates for the elections of deputies of the State Assembly RB. Besides, Rafik Dusaliyev tried to participate in the elections of the Ufa mayor in 2014, and in September last year the regional branch of the party initiated a republican referendum on the protection of the Toratau and Yuraktau mountains, which was not held due to the subsequent withdrawal of signatures by a number of meeting participants.

Recall that human rights activist and lawyer Zulfiya Gaysina was nominated for the post of head of Bashkiria from the Yabloko party at an extraordinary conference of the regional branch of the party on June 15. 16 delegates of the 21, who took part in the secret ballot, voted for Zulfiya Gaysina.
