Moldovan President during his visit to Ufa promised to form government loyal to Russian Federation

In Ufa, the President of Moldova promised to dissolve the parliament if it refuses to cooperate with Russia. Communicating with the press, Igor Dodon noted that during the 2.5 years of his presidency, he had built “excellent relations” with the head of the Russian Federation, but “unfortunately, during this time, normal contacts were not formed at the level of governments and parliaments”. Parliamentary elections were recently held in Moldova, and Dodon expects that he will be able to influence the formation of a government loyal to cooperation with Russia. “If we fail to form such a government that will support the president in this matter too, then we will dissolve the parliament and will have early parliamentary elections. And by the end of the year, I am sure there will be a government that agrees on a strategic partnership with the Russian Federation,” said Igor Dodon.

“What we did not manage to do in the past two years at the level of parliaments and governments of our countries, we compensated by meetings of the presidents and those contacts that were at the regional level. During this period we have signed several dozen interregional agreements. What we are doing here today in Ufa is just a continuation of this tendency”, concluded the President of Moldova.
