Bashkiria and Moldova signed several agreements

On May 29, in the House of the Republic, the Acting Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov met with Moldovan President Igor Dodon. The leaders of the two republics discussed the prospects for strengthening trade, economic, and cultural cooperation.

“I believe that your visit can start a new stage in the development of economic relations between Bashkortostan and the Republic of Moldova,” said Radiy Khabirov. “We are ready to conclude a framework agreement with you if during the visit we make such a decision. We are ready to visit you on a business mission, which I would be happy to lead, in order to start working more intensively together”.

The head of the Republic of Moldova noted that representatives of four regions arrived with him in Ufa with the initiative of signing agreements.

“I have examined the volume of trade between our republics. It is quite low. I am sure that the potential is tremendous. And, I hope that after the signing of these agreements we will be able to raise the level of our relations. We need to increase trade turnover at least five to six times, ”said Igor Dodon.

The Moldovan leader also invited Radiy Khabirov along with the delegation to the investment forum, which the state is to hold in the autumn.

It should be noted that today the head of the Republic of Moldova, Igor Dodon, met with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The conversation of the heads of states was held after the meeting of the Supreme Council of the Eurasian Economic Union. The leader of Moldova took part in it as an observer at the EAEU.
