"Paternal capital" may begin to grant in Russia

In Russia, the so-called "paternal capital" may appear. The grant is offered to pay when the third child appears in a family. It will be possible to receive it provided that all children are born and brought up in one family, and their parents are in a registered marriage. Such a proposal is made in the report of the commission of the Public Chamber for the Support of the Family, Motherhood, and Childhood, which Izvestia has become familiar with.

At the same time, “paternal capital” will not exclude maternal capital - it will be an additional measure of financial support, the author of the document, Sergei Rybalchenko, told reporters. The payment to the fathers of large families will be comparable to the maternal capital, the size of which since 2017 is 453 thousand rubles. The project is expected to be launched in the Far East, the Kaliningrad region, Sevastopol and the Crimea, after which other regions of the country will be included in it.

It is supposed that already in June the report “Demography 2024. How to ensure sustainable natural growth of the population of the Russian Federation” will be submitted to the government.

The total amount of funding for the "Demography" national project will be more than 3.5 trillion rubles. This was stated by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev at a meeting of the Presidium of the presidential council on strategic development and national projects.
