Since November 15, 2018, the Government of Bashkortostan held the 21st meeting of the Investment Committee of the Republic under the leadership of the Acting Head of the region Radiy Khabirov in the format of “Investment Hour”. According to the press service of the executive office of the head of the republic, they considered 84 investment projects with a total volume of planned investments of over 210 billion rubles and the prospect of creating more than 12,100 new jobs. Six investment agreements were signed.
As part of the "Investment Hour" sessions, systemic issues were discussed, including matters of development institutions - Regfond, Development Corporation, Social Target Program Fund. The concept of foreign economic and congress and exhibition activities were analyzed, decisions were made on the opening of representative offices of the republic in Austria and Turkey. Questions on the development of industrial and agro-industrial parks, the creation of a special economic zone and the PDA development with the invitation of potential residents were considered.
In the framework of Investment Hour sessions, it was possible to resolve elongated questions on some projects of an interdepartmental nature. The execution of instructions by the Acting Head of the republic allowed the launch of such projects as the creation of a multifunctional center in the territory of the Ufimkabel plant; the project of the shipbuilding company "Stapel" for the disposal and processing of oil sludge at Agidel; the creation of the production of broached mats in Blagoveshchensk and others.
Most projects receive the necessary assistance in resolving issues and reached at least an agreed roadmap for project implementation.
The main range of issues on which the investor is addressing is the provision of tax incentives, land and property problems, licensing and interagency cooperation issues.
Among the large-scale projects were considered the projects for the creation in the Ufa region of an agricultural logistics center, projects in the field of wind power engineering by the Hevel group of companies, and a project for an animal breeding complex in the Kushnarenkovo district.
Projects with the participation of foreign capital were also considered at the sessions, for example, a project involving Chinese investors for the construction of a fiber cement board plant in Kumertau and a plant for the production of robotic parking systems in Ufa, with the assistance of Latvian business.
Investors from the nearest regions were actively involved in this activity - from the Orenburg region (A7 Agro, the Strogonov slaughterhouse), the Samara region (General Service), the Udmurt Republic (ITS Agro LLC), the Chelyabinsk region (Abzakovo LLC, the Leisure Recreation Center).
The Agency for Strategic Initiatives to Promote New Projects with the support of the Publicity Communication Group based on data by Medialogia company presented a Media Rating of the investment climate in Russian regions for March 2019.
Bashkortostan hit the top ten best subjects of the Russian Federation, having taken the 6th place. The Republic of Crimea was in the first place in the Media Rating, the Moscow region in the second, Moscow in the third, the top five of the leaders included Krasnoyarsk and Primorye Territories.
