Radiy Khabirov met with Executive Secretary of SCO Business Council Sergey Kanavsky

On April 24, the Acting Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, met with the Executive Secretary of the Business Council of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Sergey Kanavsky in the House of the Republic.

Prospects for the development of international cooperation in the framework of events included in the SCO calendar, including the 5th Forum of Small Business of the Regions of the SCO and BRICS member countries, which will be held in Ufa in the autumn, were considered.

“Russian President Vladimir Putin has approved an action plan for the period of Russia's presidency in the SCO. The Small Business Forum in Ufa is one of the first events of this period and, in fact, the only economic event in the SCO space”, said Sergey Kanavsky. “This is an excellent opportunity For Bashkortostan as a pilot region of its holding to resolve issues of economic cooperation and positioning the republic at such a high level. The SCO Business Council is ready to fully support these intentions”.

The parties discussed the preparation of the republic for the upcoming forum. An organizational committee will be created to this end. It is planned that its first meeting will be held in Moscow.
