100th anniversary of our republic was celebrated in Sibay

On April 21, the Acting Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov delivered a speech at a solemn event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the republic during his working visit to the city of Sibay. The head of the region congratulated the residents of the city on a significant event and presented awards. Before the start of the gala concert, Radiy Khabirov visited the exhibition of decorative and applied art works organized on the square in front of the Sibay State Bashkir Drama Theater.

According to Radiy Khabirov, Sibay became an actual capital of the Bashkir Trans-Urals region, its economic, cultural, educational center. The abundant mineral wealth of this land is a basis of the well-being of the city and the whole republic.

“In recent years, it has been done much in Sibay, including within the framework of the Trans-Urals development. We have some good results. Investment grew by 20 percent last year. Now the city is implementing and planning to implement 15 investment projects worth almost 50 billion rubles. New jobs have been created. Unemployment has decreased.”

The Government of the republic decided to include Sibay in the program of single-industry towns support. The city will receive all necessary assistance. The road infrastructure will be improved, the construction of the Sibay-Buribay-Sara railway, the Sibay-Kuseevo-Khalilovo highway will be realized. Last year, a gas filling station opened there - the first in the Bashkir Trans-Urals, which was an important step towards cleaner atmospheric air.

The head of the region recalled that Sibay was famous for its educational, cultural and sports traditions. At the recent First All-Russian Congress of Bashkir language and literature teachers, it was decided to open a linguistic gymnasium in Sibay with in-depth study of the Bashkir, Russian and English languages.

Radiy Khabirov promised that next week the flooding of the quarry would continue, and residual effects will be eliminated, the problem would be solved.

The Acting Head of the republic awarded the veterans of labor and honorary residents of the city of Sibay with a commemorative medal "100 years of the Bashkortostan Republic’s formation".

At the end of the festive event, a concert was held.
