Bashkortostan IT-technologies experience used by authorities to communicate with public will be discussed in Strasbourg

The Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe will be held in Strasbourg, in the Palace of Europe. The Chairman of the State Assembly - Kurultay of the Republic of Bashkortostan Konstantin Tolkachev will take part in the 36th plenary session of the Congress as part of the Russian delegation.

It is expected that the Speaker of the Parliament of Bashkortostan will deliver a report at the meeting of the Chamber of Regions of the Congress on the topic “Open Government in European Regions. Making decisions in a transparent dialogue with residents". Konstantin Tolkachev, in particular, intends to tell his foreign colleagues about the latest IT technologies that the state authorities use to communicate with the public, the press service of the republican parliament informs.

The main theme of the upcoming session is declared as “Mayors on the Guard of Democracy”. Official events will last from April 1 to 4. These days meetings of the bureau of the Chamber of Local Authorities and the Chamber of Regions of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe, meetings of political groups, chambers, and committees of the Congress, a plenary session of the Congress will take place. Konstantin Tolkachev will also take part in the meeting of the Committee of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe on Monitoring.
