Radiy Khabirov met with Kyrgyzstan Economy Minister

The Acting Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov met with the Minister of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic Oleg Pankratov in Bishkek. The meeting discussed the prospects for further development of bilateral relations.

Radiy Khabirov as part of the Russian delegation participates in the work of the 8th Russian-Kyrgyz interregional conference “New Horizons for Strategic Partnership and Integration”. Oleg Pankratov expressed confidence that the visit of the head of Bashkortostan would be the next step to strengthen connections between the fraternal peoples.

As Radiy Khabirov noted, the trade turnover between Bashkortostan and Kyrgyzstan was intermittent in its nature.

At the end of last year, it was developed at the level of $ 51 million. At the same time, its main share fell on exports from the republic. Petrochemical and chemical products made up the bulk of exports, while imports were mainly constituted by electric lamps.

Radiy Khabirov noted that Bashkortostan was interested in supplying Kyrgyz fruits and vegetables and ready to discuss the development of this area.

According to him, the Bashkir and Kyrgyz peoples have cultural and humanitarian relations. Since 2017, Ufa and Bishkek are sister cities, and this too has great potential.

The head of the republic also invited a delegation of the business community of Kyrgyzstan to the All-Russian Investment Sabantuy “TransUrals-2019”, which would be held in Bashkortostan in June.
