United Russia of Bashkiria will approve list of candidates for participation in primaries on April 11

Today at the expanded meeting of the Presidium of the political council of United Russia, a preliminary vote on candidates was carried out for the subsequent nomination from the party to the post of the head of Bashkortostan.

The head of the regional executive committee of the party, Rustem Akhmadinurov, proposed the candidacy of the Acting Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, who currently had a trust rating among residents of the republic above 70%.

Radiy Khabirov’s competitors for the United Russia primaries will be the State Duma deputy Zarif Bayguskarov, head of the Kumertau administration Boris Belyaev and head of the regional department of OPORA Russia Lyaysan Nikolayeva.

According to the secretary of the regional branch of United Russia Konstantin Tolkachev, this list of candidates is most likely not final, and perhaps new names will appear. The final list of candidates for participation in the primaries will be approved at a meeting of the political council on April 11.

Candidates will have to take part in several public discussions that may be preliminary held in the village of Verkhny Kigi, the cities of Uchaly, Dyurtyuli, and Sterlitamak.

The day of preliminary voting is scheduled for May 26 from 8.00 to 20.00.
