Radiy Khabirov took part in Volga Federal District Council session on talented youth promotion

On March 12, a session of the Volga Federal District Council was held in Izhevsk, dedicated to the issues of identifying, developing and promoting talented youth. The Acting Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov took part in its work.

The two most pressing issues were supporting talented young people in the professional field and their further personnel promotion. Without solving these problems, all the systems and practices of teaching gifted children will not bring the desired result.

The meeting participants discussed mechanisms that would reduce the outflow of prospective human resources. It is primarily the setting of ambitious goals in the region, the solution of which can involve talented young people, assistance in solving their housing, financial and everyday problems.

Another essential problem is the lack of attention to talented graduates from high-tech industries, business and government bodies. In order to accomplish this task, the Council members recommended that the Ministry of Education of Russia form a single electronic register of talented young people with databases in the Volga Federal District regions.

According to the participants of the session, regional operators should be identified in the regions for the employment of gifted young people.

In his Address to the State Assembly for 2019, the Acting Head of Bashkiria raised a topic of outflow of talented youth from the republic. Radiy Khabirov noted that more than a quarter of graduates of republican schools left each year to enter universities in other regions. They were not satisfied with the fact that universities in Bashkiria did not have enough popular specialties, modern infrastructure for studying, science, creativity, comfortable living, employment prospects.

“To unite the efforts of universities with science and the innovation sector of the economy, I instruct the Government to complete work on the creation of the Technopolis of the Republican House of Science and Technology by the end of next year,” said Radiy Khabirov.

An inter-university campus will be built in the capital of Bashkiria to attract students from other regions and foreign countries. Ufa, according to Radiy Khabirov, should become one of the youth educational capitals in the country.
