Radiy Khabirov met with Czech Ambassador to Russia Vitezslav Pivonka

On March 11, a meeting of the Acting Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov with the delegation of the Czech Republic headed by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the country to the Russian Federation Vitezslav Pivonka took place in the House of the Republic RB.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Czech Republic Pavel Vesely, as well as the Acting Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture RB Ilshat Fazrakhmanov.
The parties discussed areas for further cooperation in the economy and social sphere.
In particular, they talked about expanding a range of industrial goods that Bashkortostan can supply to the Czech Republic. In turn, the Czech Republic is ready to promote agricultural technologies and food industry products in Bashkortostan.
Mutual interest was shown in the implementation of joint projects. To this end, a representative delegation of Czech business may visit Bashkortostan in the second half of the year.
In addition, prospects for cooperation in the field of tourism, education, and culture were discussed. It was proposed to hold the Days of the Czech Republic in Ufa to exchange experience in these areas.
The Czech Republic ranks 34th in terms of turnover among the trading partners of Bashkortostan. At the end of 2018, this figure was about 15.5 million dollars. Mainly products of the fuel and energy and chemical complexes are exported from Bashkortostan to the Czech Republic. The import is dominated by engineering products.
