Days of Bashkortostan devoted to 100th anniversary of republic will be held in Federation Council

On March 12 and 13, the Days of Bashkortostan, devoted to the 100th anniversary of the republic foundation, will be held in the Federation Council. The delegation of Bashkortostan is expected to be headed by the Acting Head of the republic Radiy Khabirov. On the first day, March 12, the enlarged meetings of six committees of the Council of Federation will be conducted with the participation of our deputies. They will discuss prospects for the implementation of infrastructure projects, agricultural development, creation of a special economic zone in the republic, development of medical technologies, interaction practices of state authorities in Bashkortostan with non-profit organizations, improvement of the environmental situation through the reconstruction of sewage treatment plants, preparation for the 6th World Folklore Festival in our republic in 2020.

“Decisions of the relevant committees will form a basis of the resolution by the Federation Council “On state support of the socio-economic development of Bashkortostan ”, which adoption is planned at the plenary session. This document, in turn, will serve as a basis for further support of the region, specific activity of the relevant federal ministries and departments for the republic’s development,” commented on Konstantin Tolkachev, the Chairman of the State Assembly of Bashkortostan.

The press service of the republican parliament informs that on March 12 friendly volleyball and football matches between the teams of the Federation Council and the republic will be held in the Moscow sports complex "Sokol". On March 13, an exhibition-presentation of the socio-economic potential of Bashkortostan will open in the Federation Council. Within the framework of a plenary session of the upper chamber of the Russian parliament, an “Hour of the Subject of the Russian Federation” devoted to the republic will be conducted. It is planned that the Acting Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov, Chairman of the State Assembly Konstantin Tolkachev, Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko will deliver speeches there.
