Radiy Khabirov's position rose in influence rating of Russian governors in January 2019

The position of the head of Bashkiria Radiy Khabirov rose in the influence rating of the heads of the subjects of Russia in January 2019. According to a study by experts of the Agency for Political and Economic Communications, the leader of the republic ranked 16th in the rating for the last month (in December 2018, 21st). Now Radiy Khabirov is in the zone of governors with “very strong influence”.

“The positions of Radiy Khabirov are being strengthened against the backdrop of reports on the allocation of about 4.9 billion rubles from the federal budget to the republic within the framework of the National Healthcare Project in 2019,” the agency experts say. “In addition, the decision of Khabirov to run for the post of head of the republic for United Russia can be perceived as an indicator of his confidence in the stability of positions in the region.”

Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin (1st place), head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov (2nd place) occupied the first lines of the influence rating. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov replaced the Acting Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov in the third place.
