Bashkiria should have best health care system in Russian Federation - Radiy Khabirov

“Our goal is to have the best health care system in the Russian Federation,” said Radiy Khabirov, the Acting Head of Bashkiria at a regular session of the “Health Care Hour”. Today, a variety of issues were included on the agenda of the two-hour meeting, from a review of appeals in social networks to preparation for the preventive medical examination. The heads of administrations and the chief doctors of the hospitals of all 63 municipalities of the republic, the heads of all 49 state medical institutions of Ufa participated in the “Health Care Hour” via video conferencing.

The head of the working group on the appeals of the residents, Elena Prochakovskaya, noted a decline in health-related messages on social networks and a surge in written appeals. The first, most likely, was connected with the appearance of social media pages of the head physicians. Over the past 10 days, 168 complaints have been received from residents of the region, 109 of them were written appeals. The most pressing issues: drug provision, medical errors, negligence, lack of doctors and medical institutions.

Radiy Khabirov noted the deplorable state of medical institutions as a result of his trip over the Ishimbay district. He ordered to eliminate holes in the roofs and floors of hospitals and tasked the Ministry of Health to conduct random checks at the end of March.

Residents of the city of Oktyabrsky asked a question about infant-feeding centers, and the head of the region paid particular attention to it. “This is always a very pressing issue, the infant-feeding centers are very necessary. I am ready for any decisions, so long as our moms get the kind of food they want for their babies, and not the kind of food they are supplied to by the results of the tender. Let us get all this straightened out. Besides, I understand that serious business interests intersect here, and that is the least of my concerns. At the end of January, this issue will be brought up again at “Health Care Hour” session”, said the head of the region.
