Heads of municipalities should not hold their posts for more than two terms in a row, Radiy Khabirov the Acting Head of Bashkortostan said in his Address to the State Assembly RB.

As Radiy Khabirov emphasized, some of the heads held their office for decades and often left them only after big scandals. Or, even worse, they were in office for dozens of years, "without standing out, especially without overworking".

“Since the main provisions in this part are regulated by 131st federal law, I ask the Association “Council of Municipal Formations of the Republic of Bashkortostan” to organize a discussion of this issue. Perhaps you, together with the councils of deputies, will come to the conclusion that, just like at other levels of government, the heads of municipal entities should not take their posts for more than two terms in a row,” the Acting Head of Bashkortostan believes. “In my opinion, it is enough for the leaders to fully realize their management potential and initiative. A professional manager who has effectively worked for two terms, in any case, will not remain unemployed”.

Radiy Khabirov urged the heads of cities and regions to become Bashkir Rudolphs Giuliani - to take an example from the most famous and successful municipality leader in the world.
