Radiy Khabirov announced launching of republican comprehensive repair program

UFA, 10 December 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Alfiya Agliullina/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. Radiy Khabirov announced launching of the republican program to repair entrance hallways in high-rise blocks of flats. The Acting Head of Bashkortostan told about this on social media.

“We made a decision to launch a program of comprehensive repair of entrance hallways in Bashkortostan since January 2019. We have 50 thousand entrance hallways in apartment buildings. Of these, 26,000, almost half, are old, dirty, with old windows and outdated wiring. The entrances should be repaired once every 5 years, and in fact some of them have not been whitewashed and painted for 10 years or more”, the head of the region wrote.

According to Radiy Khabirov, the program involves not only painting and whitewashing, but also replacing entrance doors, windows, mailboxes and electrical wiring.

“We expect that in the course of six years we will repair all the entrance hallways in the republic. I think that residents should also participate in these processes that will help to avoid further covering of walls with graffiti. Therefore, at general meetings, residents will be able to decide for themselves what they need to do in their entrance hallways and even choose the painting color”, he told about the new project.

As for financing, the program will be accomplished at the expense of the budgets of the republic, municipality and a utility company.
