Radiy Khabirov stated at Russian Legal Forum that he would not change constitution

On December 1, in Ufa, the Acting Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov took part in a plenary session of the Russian Legal Forum "Constitutionalism in the 21st Century" timed to the Day of Lawyer and the 25th anniversary of the Constitution of the Russian Federation. It was dedicated to human rights in the dialogue between the government and civil society.

A professional dialogue on human rights issues, relations between the authorities and society, the role of the Constitution and international legal institutions at the present stage took place in the course of the plenary session.

At the end of the plenary session, an agreement was signed on the interaction of the State Committee of the Republic of Bashkortostan for Justice and Moscow State Law University. The document was signed by Chairman of the State Committee Vladimir Spele and Rector of the University, Chairman of the Association of Lawyers of Russia Viktor Blazheev.

The agreement provides for the exchange of experience, scientific, educational and research activities, the development of consultative and educational-methodical interaction, the organization of scientific and legal expertise, advanced training, employer-sponsored education, development of joint programs and other areas of cooperation.

Answering the moderator's question about the possibility of changing the constitution in principle, the head of Bashkortostan definitely said: “I was taught in such a way that the constitution is a sacred document. It is necessary to treat it very delicately. Since we have adopted it by universal suffrage, then we must refer to it with due care, respect this document”.
