Radiy Khabirov held "Transport Hour" meeting at Government RB

On November 26, the Acting Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov held a meeting on the development of transport and road infrastructure in the "Transport Hour" format at the House of the Republic. Members of the republican government, heads of relevant departments, enterprises, as well as heads of municipalities took part in it in a video conference mode.

“We will hold a “Transport Hour” once a month, discuss major issues and outline working plans,” Radiy Khabirov stated. “Our territory is large. Bashkortostan is the second region in the Russian Federation in terms of highways length. Therefore, the issues of transport and road infrastructure are of great importance for us”.

The meeting discussed the prospects for the implementation of the Eastern exit from Ufa concession project, the development of bridge facilities, the Ufa-Orenburg highway reconstruction, the construction of the Ufa south bypass railway and the modernization completion of the Ufa Railway Station.

As reported by the Bashinform News Agency, at the meeting in the Government RB, the Acting Head of the region Radiy Khabirov drew attention to the need to take measures to reduce the number of road accidents and reduce mortality in car accidents.

Radiy Khabirov instructed the State Committee RB for Transport and Road Facilities to take control of accidents concentration areas in the republic. There are 140 of them in the territory of Bashkortostan, seven of them are on federal roads, the rest are on republican ones.
