Non-parliamentary parties’ representatives will join expert councils of State Assembly

UFA, 13 November 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Azat Gizatullin/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. Representatives of non-parliamentary parties will be included in the expert councils of the standing committees of the State Assembly of Bashkiria. The corresponding instruction was given by the Speaker of the republican parliament Konstantin Tolkachev. According to him, the expert councils include representatives of state bodies, scientists, prominent public figures, and authoritative experts in various fields.
“I consider it necessary to include in the councils also representatives of political parties not represented in the Bashkortostan parliament. This will ensure maximum objectivity, pluralism of views in the development of legislative proposals. Today in the republic there are branches of about 50 political parties. They are very heterogeneous in nature. There are just nominal parties with less than 10 people. At the same time, there are parties that represent a real political force, the interests of thousands of people. In the future, they also have chances to join the republican parliament. In order to form a quality legislation that meets the interests of our citizens, the opinion of all, even the smallest institutions of civil society, is important for us”, Konstantin Tolkachev marked.
Expert councils under the committees of the State Assembly are permanent advisory bodies and are formed for the term of office of the current convocation deputies, the press service of the republican parliament informs. They develop legislative proposals, conduct a preliminary examination of draft laws, and make recommendations on the main areas of improvement of federal and republican legislation.
