Radiy Khabirov: Bashkortostan may receive funding through national projects

On October 30, in Moscow, the Acting Head of Bashkortostan took part in a meeting of the Government Commission on Regional Development in the Russian Federation, which was held by the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Vitaly Mutko.

A draft federal budget for 2019 and the planned period of 2020 and 2021 in terms of intergovernmental relations, as well as the implementation of national projects and a comprehensive plan for the modernization and expansion of main-line infrastructure in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, were discussed at the meeting.

Summing up the meeting in an interview with journalists, Radiy Khabirov informed that during the discussion the whole range of issues related to health care, education, urban environment, main projects on power sector and road infrastructure were touched upon.

“Today it was said with regard to our republic, that there was still an opportunity to participate in a number of national projects regarding unallocated funds”, said the Acting Head of the republic. “In addition, our roadmaps should be examined in terms of targets achievement. There are a number of problems of typical nature there. I understand what areas we should focus on, and we are already working on it. First of all, it is, certainly, a healthcare sector, provision of medical care with a focus on primary care. This is of vast importance for the republic with such a large territory.”
