Radiy Khabirov called lack of specialists in rural polyclinic as “typical”

UFA, 29 October 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. Radiy Khabirov in the village of Akyar, Khaibullino district, examined a polyclinic of the district hospital. He was especially interested in the state of affairs in the children's department. The Acting Head asked about the shortage of specialists currently experienced by the institution.
“We need two pediatricians, two therapists, and specialized doctors. This is an endocrinologist for adults and children. A pediatric surgeon worked here but the five-year contract ended and he returned to the Orenburg region; a neurologist is definitely needed”, said the head physician, Viktor Semko.
“This is a typical situation”, said Radiy Khabirov, and asked what was done to remedy the situation. The head of the clinic explained that the information was posted everywhere and cooperation with Baskir State Medical University was established.
Radiy Khabirov asked what conditions were provided to specialists, and what health care indicators were among local residents.
“The apartments are allocated for the personnel, we have eight apartments of corporate housing, plus a land plot and an opportunity to participate in beneficial lending programs”, explained the clinic. “Our indicators are normal; there is a natural increase in a number of the population compared to mortality.”
The head physician explained that in severe cases, patients are directed to Sibay or to Ufa.
Coming out of the polyclinic, Radiy Khabirov examined the territory of the hospital, which reconstruction was completed in 2013. However, employees still have a problem with outbuildings. There are 12 new cars, but the garage is in disrepair. In addition, the hospital lacks six medical assistants.
The polyclinic of the Akyar village is designed for 375 visits per shift. The population covered with medical services is 30 112 people as of April 1, 2018.
