Radiy Khabirov addressing finalists of “Leaders of Russia” contest: human resources should be retained in Bashkiria

UFA, 24 October 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. Acting Head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov met in the House of the Republic with the semi-finalists and the finalist of last year's contest "Leaders of Russia".

The "Leaders of Russia" contest is a flagship project of the "Russia - a Country of Opportunities" platform, which was organized on the initiative of the President of Russia. The objectives of the competition are to identify, develop and support promising managers with a high level of leadership and managerial competencies. Last year almost 200 thousand people participated in the contest. Of the 103 winners, 70 contestants received nominations, among them three new deputy ministers at the federal level and two governors.

15 "leaders" from Bashkiria came to the meeting with the Acting Head of the republic. According to Radiy Khabirov, it is all about the people in any business, and their correct placement is important. He named decency and professionalism, as well as the independence of judgment as the main qualities of a manager.

Radiy Khabirov believes that when a person is active, he will surely achieve success. He also expressed concern that the most active and talented young people were leaving the republic. “Our task is to retain human resources here,” Radiy Khabirov considers.

The finalist of the contest, Nikita Khanenko, used the received grant to pay for the MBA program at RANEPA University, he still works at Uralsib Bank and is engaged in the development of mortgage products.

Applications reception for the second “Leaders of Russia” contest is finished on October 24. Persons without citizenship restrictions under the age of 55 years who speak Russian at a level sufficient to perform the tests and have leadership experience of at least 5 years can participate in the second season of the contest. The terms are easier for participants under 35 years old: it is enough to have 2 years of experience in a management position. Finalists receive 1 million rubles for the selected training program. The winners of the contest receive personal tutors of the best managers in the country. Also from among the winners, the participants of the special “program for the development of personnel management reserve” of the RANEPA are selected.
