Radiy Khabirov demanded to restore order in Bashkortostan health care system

UFA, 15 October 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/. Today, October 15, at a briefing session in the Government of Bashkortostan, Acting Head of the Region Radiy Khabirov severely criticized the work of the Ministry of Health RB.

Radiy Khabirov paid special attention to the fact that he had received a lot of complaints from residents of the republic about the health care system. One of the main problems is the lack of highly specialized doctors.

According to him, the issue of providing medical personnel in the municipalities, which do not have opportunities to invite the necessary medical specialists, to provide them with housing, is not worked out properly.

Radiy Khabirov could not get a clear answer from the officials and to the question about the shortage of polyclinics in Ufa. He instructed the relevant ministries and city administrations to estimate the situation.

Acting Head of Bashkortostan was also concerned with a delay in the construction of a new building of the Republican Oncology Centre. According to him, the republic today is in the third place in Russia in mortality among cancer patients with an increase of 6%. The design of the new oncology center building was started in 2012, but the facility has not yet been commissioned.

Radiy Khabirov asked to pay special attention to the provision of medicines to patients with rare (orphan) diseases. Due to the uncoordinated work of the departments of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Economic Development RB since the beginning of the year, many beneficiaries, including with orphan diseases, did not receive life-saving drugs in a timely manner, the problem was solved only in July this year.

Radiy Khabirov instructed the Administration of the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Government of the region to prepare and hold a large meeting on Thursday on the problems of the health care industry of the republic.
