Rustem Khamitov outlined tasks for Bashkortostan State Assembly committees

The republican parliament committees will bear a special responsibility for the quality elaboration of draft laws and initiatives. The Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov stated this at the first meeting of the State Assembly - the Kurultay RB of the Sixth Convocation.

The head of the region noted that the priorities for the coming years were determined by the national goals and tasks identified in the new May Presidential decree, as well as the socio-economic development strategy of the Republic of Bashkortostan until 2030.

Rustem Khamitov outlined the main tasks facing the relevant committees of the State Assembly of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

Thus, according to the head of the republic, it is expected further development of legislation on public authorities, civil service, administrative violations from the Committee for State Building, Law and Order and Judicial Affairs.

"We have to improve jointly anti-corruption policy. We also count on the recommendations on improving the efficiency of the executive bodies and optimizing their structure", the Head of Bashkortostan said.

The Committee for Local Self-Government, the Development of Civil Society Institutions and Mass Media will have to adopt "effective legislative measures" to develop municipalities, strengthen local budgets, improve the tools of real democracy in the regions, dialogue between government and society, and support the non-profit sector.

The Committee on Budget, Tax, Investment Policy, and Property Relations will work annually on the draft budget of the republic for the next fiscal year and planning period and hold public hearings on it.

"I will say that the next year the Government of the republic plans a serious increase in social expenditures of the budget, as well as financing of projects under the Republican targeted investment program", Rustem Khamitov said.

The Committee on Industry, Innovative Development, Trade, Entrepreneurship and Tourism will continue working on legislative stimulation of the scientific and technical sphere, public-private partnership, tourism, and support for small and medium-sized businesses. The Committee on Housing Policy and Infrastructure will have to address issues related to housing and utility services and construction, including the problem of defrauded housing co-investors.

The Committee on Agrarian Issues, Ecology and Natural Resources Management will continue modernization of the agro-industrial complex, digitizing the industry, strengthening its export potential, expanding the cooperative and farmer movement, and improving the efficiency of environmental protection activities.

Significant tasks are to be solved by the Committee on Education, Culture, Youth Policy and Sport: the development of the educational system, including its digital component, improvement of youth and cultural policies, involving an increasing number of citizens in mass sports and physical culture.

It is necessary within the next six years to achieve sustainable growth in real incomes of citizens, to halve poverty, to consolidate the trend of a natural increase in the population. I hope that the Committee on Health, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs will be focused on these and other tasks", the Head of Bashkortostan emphasized.

Recall that eight permanent committees were formed in the republican parliament of the sixth convocation. At the first meeting of the State Assembly RB, the chairmen of the committees and their deputies were elected.
