Rustem Khamitov delivered speech at first meeting of Bashkortostan State Assembly of Sixth Convocation

On September 28, in Ufa, the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov took part in the first meeting of the State Assembly - the Kurultay of the Sixth Convocation. The head of the region congratulated the deputies on starting work in the new parliament, outlined the priority areas of lawmaking.

Rustem Khamitov noted that the election campaign in Bashkortostan was held at a high level. For the first time, ballot-processing complexes were so widely used in the practice of voting. This made it possible to increase the transparency of electoral procedures and ensure the reliability of each vote counting.

Rustem Khamitov stressed that according to the number of political forces represented, the State Assembly - the Kurultay of the republic was one of the leaders in the country. Six political parties are represented in the parliament: United Russia, the Communist Party, the Liberal Democratic Party, Just Russia, Patriots of Russia, and the Russian Environmental Green Party.

“Dear colleagues, I declare with all responsibility, that the Government of the republic, executive authorities are inclined to cooperate with all factions, representatives of all political forces without exception”, the Head of Bashkortostan said.

According to the head of the republic, the State Assembly - Kurultay RB should become "not only a discussion platform but also one of the leading expert centers", where the most pressing issues to the population will be raised, proposals for strengthening the economy and social sphere will be developed.

“Our common task with you is step by step to raise the standard of living in the republic. Its decision requires serious joint efforts by the legislative, executive and the entire society", stressed Rustem Khamitov. “The citizens have entrusted you with the legislative decision of many important issues for the next five years. I hope that you, fully aware of the price of this trust, will make informed and responsible decisions. I count on your activity, eagerness, and close interaction with people, honesty and decency.”
