Eurasian Women's Forum will strengthen relations with foreign countries - Liliya Gumerova

The second Eurasian Women's Forum, which will be held in September, will help to strengthen relations with foreign countries, the Senator from Bashkortostan Liliya Gumerova said at a meeting with journalists in the run-up to the forum at the press center of the Russia Today International News Agency.

Liliya Gumerova also spoke about an open discussion on the topic: "Women and Charity Without Borders", which will be held within the framework of the forum.

Its main topic will be a problem of global security and sustainable development, as well as empowering women and their role in politics and economy, establishing effective cooperation in supporting innovation, developing the digital economy, ensuring environmental safety and promoting charitable and humanitarian projects.

About 120 countries have already expressed their desire to take part in the forum. It aims to consolidate and develop cooperation between women leaders in order to solve urgent problems and strengthen the atmosphere of trust and mutual understanding in the world on the grounds of universal values of humanism, rights and dignity.

The second Eurasian Women's Forum will be held in the Tauride Palace in St. Petersburg on September 19-21, 2018. The organizers of the event are the Federation Council and the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS member states.
